Advanced CSV Bulk Import
The Advanced CSV Import tool gives you the ability to bulk import thousands of new items, create listings and activate them on multiple channels, all with just a single file. This import method gives you complete control over how your eBay, MoreCommerce and/or Facebook listing are created, with the exception of Amazon; your Amazon listing will contain the information associated with the provided Amazon ASIN(s). This is especially helpful for brand owners who have unique product details, or even for those of you who just have specific images, titles or item descriptions you want to use within your listings.
This tutorial will show you how to input your product and listing information into the import file, upload it to Auctiva, and publish the listings on all desired channels.
Step 1: Download the Advanced CSV Import file template
To get started, hover over "Products" in the top navigation bar, and go to the CSV File Import & Editor page (Figure 1).
Click on Importing New Products (Figure 1.1A) and then select the Advanced CSV Import option (Figure 1.1B).
With the Advanced CSV Import option expanded, select the category that best matches the set of items you want to import (Figure 1.2A) and then click on Example Template File (Figure 1.2B) to download the template file.
Step 2: Input your items' information into the import file
Locate the downloaded file; generally you can find the file within your computer's download history. Open the file and input your items' information. Below you will see examples of what the acceptable values are for each column (Figure 2).
- Use this reference page to find the Category ID. Locate the most recent file and download it to view the list of Category IDs.
- Use this reference page to determine the Condition ID for the specific category and condition you're listing the item(s) under.

Step 4: Upload the file & select your offer settings
Upload the completed import file by clicking the Browse Files button (Figure 4A) within the Importing New Products view, or by dragging and dropping the file into the upload box (Figure 4B).
Select the Advanced Template Type option (Figure 4.1A) and then set your offer details. Select which Amazon Shipping Template you want applied to the imported items (Figure 4.1B). If you do not want to post the items to Amazon, you can leave this empty. Select which eBay Shipping, Payment and Return Policies you want applied to the imported items (Figure 4.1C). If you do not plan to post the items to eBay, you can leave this empty. Lastly, to submit the file for processing, click the "Import Products File Now" button (Figure 4.1D).
Step 5: Verify the results
Verify your file's import results by reviewing the CSV Event Log located on the CSV Import page. To view the status of your import file, refresh the CSV Event Log by clicking on the refresh button (Figure 5A). Once the file has completed, verify the number of products that were processed successfully by reviewing the Successfully Processed column (Figure 5B). Then review the Error Report column to see if the file resulted in any warnings or errors (Figure 5C).
All items that were successfully processed will be reflected in your Auctiva Product Catalog.
