I would like to know what the surcharge is with shipping to or from Hawaii. I live in Hawaii, and now I'm going to be mailing from Hawaii for my business. The post office tells us there is no difference in shipping costs, it should be the same as anywhere in the U.S. So why do some sellers charge this additional charge or only mail to the 48 contingeous ?

I Hate packaging peanuts, I only use them for buyers who are slow to pay or somehow give me a hard time. Old newspaper or clean and reclaimed bubble wrap are my favorites. I almost always put the item in plastic before packing it. Those old Seal-A-Meal gizmos are great for making whatever size plastic bag you need then seal it to keep moisture out. No need to use the vacuum feature, just seal the bag. Rolls of flat plastic like "drop cloth" for painting or plastic window covering are easily found at yard sales and flea markets for very little money.

If you ship First Class International with the Auctiva insurance and customer says it wasn't received what can be done. They don't scan USPS First Class, Flat Rate Envelopes or the Small Flat Rate Box when delivered. Is it still covered on their say-so if they don't get it??
