I use USPS for shipping items of relatively small weight. 1st class mail, whenever possible, is more economical than Priority. Items more than the 1st class limit but still under 5 pounds or so generally get shipped Priority. The difference in price between Priority and Parcel Post for an item under 5 pounds is quite marginal but the speed in delivery can be drastic. Any item over 5 pounds I use FedEx for. FedEx is cheaper than UPS and is more often than not cheaper than USPS for items of this weight. As a bonus, I can offer my buyers the free insurance on items worth less than 100 dollars.

Wonderful tips and I enjoyed watching Rebecca and Steve. Not only it is economical to reuse packing materials but it is a great relief for the environment. USPS instead of printing priority only on inside.Print Parcel post only on inside. Now you created a dual use for the boxes. Dozens of Post masters love the idea, but know Congress will never allow it.Flip it, stack it pack it and ship it!They already spending the money to regulate. Make more money to accommodate!

Great tips! I recently moved myself and have so much extra bubble wrap and peanuts, I'll be set for a while. If you have a friend or relative moving, ask them for their extra packing materials, free for you and they will be happy to get rid of them after they move! Best of luck to all you ebayers this coming holiday season!

Great video and appreciate idea about turning boxes inside out. An idea for free, large pieces and clean bubble wrap- Ask your local body shop....most replacement car parts come wrapped in bubble wrap or a great weight of protective plastic
