Queen Anne Blanket Chest, Cherry, 1742 Rare! What a great American treasure we have here. This fine storage piece is an heirloom passed down from a fine Pennsylvania estate to an Atlanta heir. It is solid cherry, maple string inlay, maple inlaid eagles and flowers, fine 18th Century hand made hinges and locks, solid brass pulls. A secret drawer is at the bottom center behind the 1742 inlay with a hidden handle underneath to unlock it. We do not have the original key yet a skeleton key that works. It measures 24”D x 50”W x 30”H. Hope you enjoy this piece and passing it on for centuries. It has been in my home for about 7 years now. We buy entire estates and pass the savings on to you. "Striped Bass" by Rhea Metcalf Artist Information: Rhea?s artistic career began 1992 in Orlando, Florida where she focused her talents on ceramic art. She was a Fellowship Student at the Crealde School of Art. She studied watercolor painting with Catherine Anderson. Rhea became interested in nature studies and painted frogs, orchids, grasses, insects and fish. She was a featured artist at the Heights Art Show in 2003. Rhea was commissioned to paint the "Fish of Lake Lanier" for a permanent exhibit at the Northeast Georgia History Museum. She most recently was awarded Best in Show at the Buisson Artists Rendezvous in Dahlonega, Georgia. Jean Francois Millet Print

* Measures 24" X 31" including frame * Says at the very top of the print PUBLIE' PAR GETTI, 12 RUE GODOT DE MAUROY, PARIS, 1886. * Signature in pencil at the lower right hand of piece * Millet's name on the print * Could have been signed by the engraver. * Very Good condition * Classic Jean-Francois Millet * Antique Frame Jean Francois Millet was a French painter, draftsman and etcher. He is famous primarily as a painter of peasants. Although associated with the Bartizan school, he concentrated on figure painting rather than landscape except during his final years. His scenes of rural society, which nostalgically evoke a lost golden age, are classical in composition but are saturated with realist detail. Millet?s art, rooted in the Normandy of his childhood as well as in Bartizan, is also indebted to the Bible and past masters. His fluctuating critical fortunes reflect the shifting social and aesthetic lenses through which his epic representations of peasants have been viewed. The piece says at the very top of the print PUBLIE' PAR GETTI, 12 RUE GODOT DE MAUROY, PARIS, 1886. There is a signature in pencil at the lower right hand of this piece, but I can't make it out. It is under Millet's name on the print. I am sorry I don't know the name of this piece. It is an older print. It is in good condition. The frame is original the piece is also matted. I spoke with the Delft Company they said that the tiles are over 200 years old from the latter 18th Century. There are 16 tiles that measures approximately 5" x 5". They are in good condition.
