This auction features a rare Jo Mora cartes / map. This piece features the print Carmel - by - the - Sea. This cartes is considered to be one of the most rare pieces created. It is highly sought and priced much higer on other websites. This cartograph also includes the original envelope. I am not an expert in art and I have not had this piece looked at for condition. It is a folded map. It does have creasing on the fold lines. The map does not have any tears. There is one very very small chip dot of color missing at one of the creases. I have included a close-up pic of the color and of the creases. The map is clean with no stains. The envelope is in decent condition. It does have a tear and some creasing on the flap. It is also stamped but I can't make it out. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. Don't miss this awesome rare find! Jo Mora's Carmel-by-the-Sea is one of his most desired maps and over the years has become very scarce. Jo created this map for the people of Carmel including its general history and current events, activities and local people. Jo was also quite a dog lover and he included some of the town dogs, gifted with personality, including his own dog Mike Mora who "could climb a rung ladder like a chimney sweep..."
