At Max’s Guitar Store, we offer the finest selection of quality, brand name refurbished, used and new guitars.
Most guitars that we sell were sent directly from the manufacturer to our authorized refurbishing center. The guitars are sent there for a variety of reasons, including:
Cosmetic flaws
Small repairs
Store returns
Overstock
Discontinued
"Out-of-the-Box" is not good enough for us.We hand-select every guitar and only choose the best! As a result, we’re able to offer you quality guitars that look and play like new for significantly less than the retail price!
Most guitars we sell have no visible flaws and are unplayed new instruments. These we'll call mint, un played in our listings. Any guitars that do have blemishes, we will describe the flaw or repair in the listing and include a photo if it is visible. In order to prevent false warranty claims from dealers, the back of the headstock is lightly stamped “used” or “2nd” and the original serial number has been replaced with a new one. Every guitar in our store has been thoroughly inspected, tested and set-up to perfection by certified technicians.
We also encourage individuals to trade in their Instruments and Music Gear for anything we have for sale in our store.

We are happy to discuss trades with you for everything we sell here. Let us know what you've got. We will do our best to help you make a deal on a new guitar or amp. Please understand that it can be difficult to appraise your instrument over the phone or via email, so please be prepared to send your item to the store for a final evaluation. We love old guitars and amps! Maybe you're not sure what your gear is worth - we pride ourselves on our honesty and will give you a fair estimate of what we think your item is worth in trade. Sometimes we all are pleasantly surprised! Also, please note that we can't always take every single trade that comes our way. But we'll do our best!

Shipping:
Buyer pays shipping costs. We ship all instruments insured to their sales value via USPS ,FEDEX or UPS. We must Charge MD sales tax if shipped within MD. We ship worldwide via USPS and UPS. Additional Fees and handling charges apply. All International buyers are responsible for any and all Duties, Taxes, and/or Import Fees All International Sales are Final.
We charge an additional $50.00 handling fee for international shipments.
