During the prohibition era, people still wanted their liquor and it became a national pastime to obtain it even though it was illegal. There were still nightclubs and speakeasys and peopel still obtianed their liquor. They had to come up with ways to have it in their possesion but not to be obvious about it. This is when the prohibition cabinet was devised as a way to have their liquor in their possession but not have it be too showy. This prohibition cabient looks like a medicine cabinet but was designed to hold bottles of booze.
