We have listed on eBay a Limited Edition aquatint by the renowned British artist GRAHAM CLARKE, titled "Uncle Sid & The Limpet Racers," SIGNED AND NUMBERED 131/300. This is an amazing work of art, rich with detail, color, humor and fantasy. I've literally spent hours enjoying it and always seeing something new - one of Clarke's best, most interesting works if you ask me. Another print from the same edition sold in 2006 for $1,802.00 (see link below), and comparable prints this size and period are priced up to $3,600.00 at online galleries! The etching is framed and glazed. Frame size 36.5" X 30.5", Image size 21.3" X 27". Born in 1941, Clarke responds to the comedy of everyday life with his own unique brand of humour to his interpretation of past and present history through the eyes of the common man. Clarke studied at the Beckenham School of Art and later at the Royal College of Art. In the Spring of 1980 he held a very successful one-man exhibition in the Ardeche, France. This piece was produced around 1983. Clarke's original aquatints are not just prints, they are original works of art conceived and created by an artist who is deliberately using his chosen medium to create an effect which could be achieved in any other way. As such they have a vitality and clarity which reproductions can very seldom achieve. The main processes are etching, lithography and screenprinting. Original plates are defaced after the edition is completed, so this is a rare, early work from this internationally aclaimed artist so check out eBay now for all the details: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360174954372
