Crazy quilts were made by individuals and quilting bees with a variety of materials and basically whatever was scrap material. This quilt was apparently started in 1901 and has signatures of some of the people participating in the work including: Grace Aker, Ida M Marti, Mayne Allen, Lizzie Berry, Roland Berry, Pearl Ackey, Henrietta B, Effie, Lulu Ross, Corman, etc. These crazy quilts are highly collectible and sentimental for the hours of work and the people whose family names are on them.
