What is the Search Engine Optimizer?
-
The Auctiva Search Engine Optimizer is an easy-to-use tool that gives you the ability to increase your listing’s visibility in eBay search results.
The SEO tool shows you your eBay listings that are lacking structured data like UPCs, MPNs, brand names, materials, etc… and provides SEO suggestions which you can approve with a single click. Then, after you've approved a suggestion, the Search Engine Optimizer will go ahead and automatically update your listing with the approved data, allowing you to quickly and easily improve the visibility of your active eBay listings.

How does the Search Engine Optimizer increase my listing visibility in eBay?
-
Providing structured data, like the product GTIN and other attributes like brand name, color, size, etc... in your listing, helps buyers find the exact product they’re searching for. When eBay receives structured data, they’re able to surface your listing in search results more often because it matches the buyer's criteria.
The Search Engine Optimizer helps increase the visibility of your listing in eBay search results because it constantly reviews your listings and checks to see if they’re lacking structured data. When it finds a listing is lacking structured data, it will populate SEO suggestions for you to review. Once you approve a SEO suggestion, the Search Engine Optimizer will automatically update your listing with the structured data which will then increase your listing’s exposure on eBay.

How does the Search Engine Optimizer generate suggestions?
-
The Search Engine Optimizer constantly reviews your active and saved eBay listings and checks to see if they’re lacking structured data such as product GTINs like UPCs, EANs, MPNs and ISBNs or product attributes like brand name, color, size, material, etc... Then, when the SEO tool finds a listing is lacking structured data, it reviews the listing’s title and description and populates SEO suggestions for you to review and approve.

Why are there no Search Engine Optimizer suggestions in my account?
-
The Search Engine Optimizer only provides SEO suggestions for listings that are missing a recommended attribute. Meaning, if you’ve already provided all of the recommended item specifics in your listing, your SEO is good and there’s simply no SEO suggestions.
Additionally, the Search Engine Optimizer generates SEO suggestions based off of the information you have provided within your listing’s title and description; so if your listing is lacking a product attribute and you also have a very vague description, the SEO tool may not be able to generate a suggestion for that particular listing.

After I approve a suggestion, how long will it take before my listing is automatically updated with it?
-
After you’ve approved a SEO suggestion, the automatic revision typically updates your listing within a few minutes.
-
-
I approved a SEO suggestion, so why hasn’t my active listing been updated with it yet?
-
After you’ve approved an SEO suggestion, the automatic revision typically updates your listing within a few minutes. However, if you have a large volume of active listings, the update may take up to 2 hours to complete.
Additionally, If your listing doesn’t meet eBay’s revision policy the Search Engine Optimizer will not be able to automatically update the listing with the SEO suggestion.
