Can I sell on Facebook with Auctiva?

Yes, seamlessly through your Auctiva account you can sell on Facebook Shops and Facebook Marketplace. With the Auctiva toolset you can post listings, manage inventory and process orders.
Get started today by linking your Facebook account to Auctiva, from within the “My Selling Channels” page, located in the drop down menu that’s shown when you hover over your Auctiva username. Please note, the Facebook integration is only available with the Auctiva Standard, Professional or Enterprise plan subscriptions.

You’d need to set up a Facebook Business Page which is different from your personal Facebook account. To get started, visit the Auctiva My Selling Channels page and click "Link My Facebook Account". You will be able to follow the steps, create a Facebook Business Commerce account, and link the account to Auctiva.

What’s the difference between Facebook Shops and Facebook Marketplace?

Facebook Marketplace and Facebook Shop are two independent shopping destinations within the Facebook app.
- On Marketplace, people can buy or sell items from other individuals and businesses, locally or shipped.
- Facebook Shop is a newer destination where people can discover, engage with, and shop the latest from brands they love, and that are loved by their community.

What categories and conditions are accepted on Facebook?

You can sell new or used items on Facebook Marketplace. Some of the examples of things that can’t be sold on Facebook are: not a real/physical item, services, animals, healthcare and more. All items for sale on Facebook need to follow Facebook’s Commerce Policies.

What does it cost to sell on Facebook?

There is no cost to use Facebook to list your items for sale. There’s a selling fee of 5% when your item is sold. Facebook is temporarily waiving their standard selling fee for all orders marked as shipped through 11:59pm Pacific Time on June 30th, 2023. You can learn more about Facebook selling fees here.

How do I post my existing listings to Facebook?

- Go to your Auctiva Product Catalog.
- Select the items you want to post to Facebook.
- Use the Bulk Actions > Change Status tool to activate the selected listings on Facebook.
- If any items return an error, click directly on the product title and then set the Facebook toggle to “activate”.
- Fill in any remaining product information that’s required and then click the submit and update button to post the listing on Facebook.
- It may take up to 2 hours for your listing(s) to display within your Facebook Commerce Catalog.

How do I post new listings to Facebook?

- Go to your Auctiva Product Catalog.
- Click the “Add A New Product” button.
- Set the Facebook toggle to activate, doing this will show you what information needs to be filled in before you can post the item to Facebook.
- Fill in the required product and listing information.
- Click the “Submit & Update” button to activate your listing on Facebook.
- It may take up to 2 hours for your new listing to display within your Facebook Commerce Catalog.

When will my Facebook listing(s) become active and sellable?

After posting your item to Facebook from Auctiva, it may take up to two hours to appear in the Facebook Commerce Catalog interface. Additionally, all items will go through a standard Facebook review process that can take up to 24 hours before appearing in Facebook Marketplace. Your eligible inventory will be visible and available for sale on Facebook within 24 hours.

How do I edit my Facebook listing details such as title, price, images, description and quantity?

Edit all of your Facebook listing details from the Auctiva Product Catalog. Either use the Bulk Actions > Edit Price & Quantity or Edit Shipping Details tool, or click directly on the item’s title to edit other details such as the title, images, description, etc...
Additionally, you can use the Auctiva CSV Bulk Editor to edit your Facebook listing’s price and quantity. This tool allows you to bulk edit up to 10,000 products at once, across all linked channels.
Please note, if you post or edit listings directly from the Facebook interface, those changes will not be reflected in Auctiva; this is why we encourage you to post and manage all Facebook listings from Auctiva.

Manage and process all Facebook orders from the Auctiva Sales page. If you process an order from the Facebook interface, the order will appear as if it has not been processed in the Auctiva interface, this is why we suggest you manage and process all orders from within Auctiva.

Why was my Facebook Commerce account rejected and what should I do next?

There could be many reasons why your account was rejected. Once your Facebook Commerce account is created, go to your Facebook Shop page and click Home > Contact Support on the left menu to get help on what steps you should take next. You can easily access your Facebook Shop page from the Auctiva “My Selling Channels” page.

Why does Facebook require that my Commerce account is at least 28 days old before I am eligible to sell?

Facebook reviews all item(s) in your catalog in the Commerce Manager to make sure it complies with their Commerce Policies. For all newly created Facebook Business Pages, there’s a standard 28 day pending period before items can become sellable. If your account is rejected, you can request a second review by going to your Facebook Shop page and clicking Home > Contact Support on the left menu. You can easily access your Facebook Shop page from the Auctiva “My Selling Channels” page.

You can set up your Facebook shipping & return settings, along with payout and tax details from your Shop page. Go to your Auctiva “My Selling Channel” page > Click the Facebook tab > Click the Facebook Shop page link > Commerce > Checkout on Facebook > Set up shipping and returns, and payouts and taxes.
