eBay sellers with Android devices can now sell on the go and manage their eBay listings from the palm of their hands with the updated version of eBay's Android App, which debuted this week.
The updated app gives sellers on eBay's U.S. and U.K sites the ability to create listings on their mobile devices, from start to finish, with up to eight images. Merchants can use the built-in barcode scanner to prefill item details when they create listings. Sellers will also find that they can revise active listings, relist products, end listings early, mark items as shipped, contact buyers and do lots more with the app, eBay notes.
Before the update, the eBay Android app, originally released in early 2010, was geared toward buyers, allowing users to search the eBay, buy and pay for items, check on the status of their orders and leave feedback for sellers.
"Based on feedback I've received on past posts, [the updated app is] something that our
users have been looking forward to," notes eBay blogger Richard Brewer-Hay on eBayInk.
The free app is available for download on the Android Market. Screenshots of the new app are available on Flickr.
